This searches everything at once: theses, dissertations and research studies from the Libraries’ catalog, plus journal articles, books, conference presentations and research dissemination by AdDU researchers.
It's a smart search, not just exact keywords — it also looks for results that are conceptually related to what you typed, so an item can show up even if it doesn't contain your exact words. Sort by "Relevance" to see the closest matches first.
Power searching: use AND, OR, NOT (in capital letters), a minus sign (-lake), "exact phrases" and brackets — for example (water OR river) AND quality NOT lake. These searches look for your words in titles, authors and abstracts (not subject headings), and work with “Any field” and “Title”.
Requesting pages of a thesis: when a thesis has a Request pages button, the Libraries hold it as a PDF. Ask for the pages you need with your AdDU email. The author and the librarian must both approve; you then receive just those pages by email.
Types of material: click a type under the title — for example Books or Journal articles — to list everything of that type, newest first. Pick a type and then type a keyword to search only within it. Click the type again to go back to all materials.
Authors: click any author’s name to see everything they have written, across theses, journal articles, books and presentations. Drag the two handles of the Publication years slider beside the results to limit a search to certain years.
Looking for something more precise — a specific department or call number? Use Advanced Search below instead, which searches the library catalog only using exact filters.
